While staying in an apartment in Spain, I observed the space.
The basement was a place of prostitution.
Above ground, ordinary families lived in an ordinary residential apartment. The building was shaped like a square, open in the middle — a space for hanging laundry.
From my window on the first floor, looking up, I could see young children’s clothes on the line. Looking down, women’s costume garments were hanging there.

I found myself wondering.
where does desire end?
